Yorkshire Coast Golf Breaks

New Year Steaming Ahead

Tuesday, 10 January 2012

Hello fellow golfers,

Happy New Year to you all.  Just a warning, our golf breaks here at The Royal Bridlington are proving so successful that we are starting to run short on availability on certain periods.

The Golf Passports over here on The East Yorkshire Coast are also expanding.

The main one now has the availability of 5 great courses to work with being Bridlington Belvedere, Bridlington Links, Flamborough Head, Filey and now Hornsea.

The other Golf Passport in the area also now has four courses affiliated to its membership - these are Hainsworth Park, Hornsea, Driffield and now a great addition of Beverley which is a fantastic course for your first day - on the way across from the M1, or West Yorkshire.

So as they say on Strictly Come Dancing - Keep on Golfing and we look forward to working and playing with many of you in the near future.

Tips for organising a successful golf break . . . . .

Saturday, 24 September 2011

These are some of our tips for a successful and more to the point enjoyable Golf Break.

Tee times are easy – one phone call to Yorkshire Coast Golf does all of that!

Accommodation is easy - one phone call to Yorkshire Coast Golf does all of that

Where there is a large group of golfers having a golf break we believe that the first and most important item of any group is organisation and having the confidence in your group organiser to be able to set up the break.

The organiser should have the confidence of the members of his group to be able to commit to the holiday on their behalf.  Similarly the members of the group should be able to commit to the holiday at the dates which they have all agreed and be able to commit to payment of deposit and further monies when requested by the organiser.

The easiest way for the finances to be managed for all concerned is to have all of the monies paid up front before the commencement of the holiday so that when they arrive for their holiday all they need to worry about is food and beer money.

With regards to meals the group should decide whether they all want to eat together and where.  If there is a large group then restaurants would need to be booked in advance to ensure that they can get in and all be together.  The alternative, do they want to have dinner at The Royal Bridlington and then go straight out to town or stay in the Bar.  Again this needs to be an up front decision!

And finally – tip of the day is ORGANISE and PREPARE to prevent arguments over who has paid who is sharing with who etc……

And finally finally, don’t forget your clubs and your sense of humour and enjoyment!!  Have a great Yorkshire Coast Golf Break!!

Tim

Enjoyed our golfing weekend in Bridlington and the stay at the Royal. All the lads were very impressed with the hotel and the cracking breakfast. The rooms were excellent,  and we all noticed the "attention to detail" in the way the hotel was presented.

We would have no hesitation to book with you again.

Once again...Thank you.

Thanks Lee - your comments are much appreciated.  Look forward to worknig with you soon.

My trip round Belvedere . . . . . .

Tuesday, 28 June 2011

Well the rust is now well and truly off . .

Had a fantastic round of Golf at Bridlington Belvedere Golf Club last weekend. One of our guests here for the Northern Soul weekender was looking for a partner, so I was only too pleased to oblige.

The weather stayed beautiful for us all the way around although the Golf was not as hot.

A lovely course though, well maintained, plenty of water hazards and descent bunkers to add to the spice.  Look out for the sponsorship of the 11th "Rabbit Fall" - YorkshireCoastGolf of course.

What did I take from it, well - I need more practice on the putting green. Drives nice, fairway shots nice, putting - too much practice!!

Thanks to Barry Cooper for the round - a great day out!

Mark, I feel really enjoyed his weekend, so much so that he wants to bring his Captains weekend trip to us here at The Royal Bridlington, via Yorkshire Coast Golf.  He said:-

"Well I must start by thanking you for a fantastic weekend all the guys are still talking about it. The whole weekend from start to finish was the best we have had in over ten years and we all appreciate the time and effort you and your team put in to make our whole trip such a great success.

"As discussed I would love to arrange to spend my Captains weekend with you next year."

A date and tee times have already been allocated and we are already looking forward to having Mark and his members here next year.

More comments from a group of Leeds Golfers . . .

"Thank you for a most enjoyable golf break for 3 amateurs during May 2011.

The bookings made for us were perfect.

Your hotel was spotless and modern and the breakfasts were out of this world. The bedrooms were also modern and well furnished with en-suite facilities, and there was plenty of off street parking.  Your hotel would also be ideal for a holiday in Bridlington, being only few minutes away from the town centre.

We would have no hesitation in returning here for either a golf or a holiday break indeed it would be first on our list.

Thank you"

Thanks Dave, your comments are much appreciated
